Theme PUBLIC SPACE & MOBILITY
The exhibition floor of the 17th edition of InfraTech in January 2027 is divided into three themes, each representing a distinct segment within the sector. One of these three themes is Public Space & Mobility.
The design of public space is essential for the liveability and accessibility of a city or municipality. High-quality paving, green infrastructure, signage and wayfinding are crucial for traffic safety and the comfort of pedestrians and cyclists. Traffic monitoring and control systems, lighting, and transport and mobility solutions also play an important role. By applying geo-information and technology, these elements can be better aligned and integrated.
It is important that the design of public space takes into account the needs and preferences of all users, such as pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and public transport users. By implementing smart and sustainable solutions, cities and municipalities can contribute to a healthy and liveable environment for all residents.
Public Space & Mobility
Over the next 10 years, one million new homes will be built in the Netherlands—and all of them need to be accessible for their residents. It is therefore no coincidence that the Dutch government is investing €7.5 billion in the mobility fund. This investment is aimed at new roads, public transport connections and cycling infrastructure.
Is your company active in paving, green infrastructure, lighting or other aspects of public space design? Then InfraTech’s Public Space & Mobility theme is the place for you.
